The 1 spider in ToG had shape shifting abilities because it bargained with a shifter. The only fae in prythian I can think of that can truly shape shift into anything/person is Tamlin… so he might’ve bargained with the spider maybe not for silk but for answers of how it got there like a rift and that’s where he sent rhysands sister through instead of killing her smh idk 🤷🏻♀️there’s only so many explanations

in Chapter 40 of ACOMAF Feyre calls the human queens Spiders when they're talking about showing Velaris to them. and in chapter 69 of ACOMAF, Feyre sees Hybern for the first time and she says "it felt old. like a spider sitting in its web for a long long time...." coincidence?! I think not!

The weaver/spider correlation comes all the from the Ancient Greek myth of Arachne, a woman weaver who challenged goddess Athena. Basically Athena was jealous of Arachne’s weaving artistry and as punishment she transformed Arachne into a spider. It’s an easy enough connection to make too if you are a Spanish (or some other Latin languages) speaker too, since we call spiders “araña”
