My HC is that because Dean was used to go hungry as a kid when there wasn’t enough food for both him and Sam he still has the need to eat as much as possible whenever food is available just in case he doesn’t have food later

dean eats everything he gets his hands on because his mind is constantly worried about when the next time is he'll be able to get any whereas Sam is repulsed by food that he doesn't have very strict control over because as a child he had to eat junk food and probably half eaten rubbish dean would find in bins just so he could feed his brother. ☹️

imma put my own diagnosis here but me and my sister grew up eating random shih like they would growing up and we both have opposite eating disorder me the way you hc sam and her dean so it’s special to me i’m taking this head canon home thank you

sam was always my favourite but during that scene where he hallucinates bugs in his sandwitch made me realise he was literally me tm because a few years back i went through this very severe ed where i felt like i couldnt eat because the food tasted like it rotted inside my mouth and i swore i could feel the bugs running around
