If you're upset about this, blame the colonizers who brought the invasive deer to the island in the 1930s. Channel your frustrations into replacing your Eurasian landscaping with native plants that will actually contribute something to your local ecosystem

It’s just deer. There’s a million more of them all over the USA. It’s an overpopulation issue. The deer are gonna eat all that islands native plants, flowers, etc. there’s more deer than there is vegetation

This sounds fishy, the mule deer, eat the shrubbery which keeps the keeps the foliage down less material to burn. Why would you want to eradicate something that happily doing it service to itself and the surrounding environment?

Makes no sense. Just move them. You don’t have to kill them. The deer are eating plants that can cause wildfires, isn’t thst a benefit and a preventative service?

An unlikely ally? Really? Just because it’s a group that supports guns, does NOT mean the group does not support wildlife management and preservation. Quite the contrary. Hunters do more for wildlife conservation in the United States than any other group in the nation.
