My mom was perfect in everyone’s eyes. Police officer. Victims advocate at the women’s shelter for 13 years. Allll of the “bad kids” loved her and our sisters because of how caring our mom was. Parents adored her because she was charming and articulate. She ruined our lives behind closed doors and now I’m in my mid 30s and neither I nor my sister have spoken to her in 4 years.
