Those of you calling Lindsay a monster are missing the point of this case entirely. Yes, she killed her kids and that is extremely tragic. However, putting the blame on Lindsay alone in this case actually is detrimental for how we move forward and prevent these cases from happening in the future. Everyone in her life described her as an amazing mother who would've done anything for her children. Let that sink in.. please. Patrick, his mother, Lindsay's family have only said positive things about her because thats who she was. The reality is that it could happen to any mother experiencing postpartum depression and anxiety. She was honest about what she was going through to her loved ones and believed she was incapable of harming her children despite having intrusive thoughts on doing so (do research on how OCD effects people if you do not understand how she could have have these thoughts as a good mother). She wanted nothing more than to get better for her children and she was trying her best to do that. This whole situation could have been avoided if Lindsay was given the help she needed sooner. They should have kept the nanny, her family should have been there for her more, patrick should have not left her alone with the kids with the knowledge he had, and the doctors should have taken her concerns more serious. She is not a monster. This is OUR fault as a society and we need to do better at supporting each other.
