That was my mom and her amazing employees in the video, and I am not surprised in the least that these three incredible women risked their own safety to save someone else. While others were walking by, pointing and laughing, these women jumped into action. They didn’t hesitate. They stepped in and helped prevent a young girl from being abducted—and God only knows what could have happened to her if they hadn’t. I could not be more proud of my mom and these other amazing women. Their courage, quick thinking, and willingness to put someone else’s safety before their own is truly inspiring. Thank you for being the kind of people who don’t just stand by and watch. You saw someone who needed help, and you acted. ❤️So incredibly proud of all three of you! 👏❤️

I live so close to there and you can’t even walk on bergenline past 9pm as a woman without getting harassed by EVERY SINGLE MALE THAT WALKS BY. Not an exaggeration . Especially by the park, me and my sister are out there often in the later hours and it is terrifying. I’ve had men come sit next to me, touch me, follow me, yell things at me etc. One time I was followed by a man for 10 blocks. When I crossed the street he crossed with me, then I crossed back to the original road and he came back with me. I went into the Wadi scoops ice cream shop and the man followed me in there and I told the girls working inside what was going on. As soon as I left the shop the man cut off his conversation with an another employee in the middle of it to leave and follow me out. The girls came out running and telling me to come back cus I left my wallet (which I didn’t) and they locked down the whole store to protect me. It took 30 minutes for police to arrive and it was a SINGLE OFFICER ON FOOT. North Bergen and Union city is dangerous asf for girls especially young girls and I never hear anything about it from the media or government. Our community needs to do better and I’m so glad to see that these women were so brave instead of just being bystanders!

I remember this happening I work across the street. The girl was trying to cross the street and he came from behind her and picked her up from behind. He wouldn’t let go I think he was very drunk. The police came in and got the footage.
