Husband here. We’re both up at 6, we both get ready and get the kids ready. We both leave at 7. She takes one kid, I take the other. She starts work at 8. I can hit the gym and then start work at 9. She’s off at 4, picks up the kids. I’m off at five. We have dinner as a family and hang out. Kids in bed by 730. We get our time till 930 and then bed. I guess I do get the gym hour that she doesn’t. But. We’re a team, as God intended. It’s not her job or mine, it’s ours. We share the load and share the responsibility. We share the joy of raising our family together. Stop being divisive.

But hang on, you didn’t include go to the gym, do meal planning, do grocery shopping, do 78 loads of laundry, organise play dates, birthday parties, buying gifts, planning holidays, any proper self care, showering, hair washing, or any other “luxuries” like hair, nails, hobbies… why is anyone surprised that women are p!ssed of with societal standards?!

Men, if you are not this type of father and you contribute to your family the same as your child’s mother, this post shouldn’t offend you. This is about the average family. I have no idea why so many men feel personally attacked when women talk about problems that they have when dealing with a partner who doesn’t help.
