Can you talk with less pauses, and less jokish sentences it's hard to focus on the reason you're speaking

Fourth year resident here. I don’t know your story (this just popped up on my for-you page), so this is not from a place of judgment. Med school is hard and residency is harder. The hours are terrible. You’ll be pushed harder mentally and physically than you think is possible. Especially if you choose a surgical specialty. I would just caution you before you make the financial commitment to really know that this is the life you want to sign up for for the next 8+ years. Even attending life is challenging. If it’s your passion, go for it. Just make sure it’s really the path you want to go down.

Followed you a long long time. Unless it’s running you’ve tended to not finish things. Call it a pivot but from the outside you transfer undergrad bc it’s hard, quit your internship at some point you are going to have to finish what you start. I hope you do

Hey, I’m new here, but to be honest you should probably have a real honest conversation with yourself or mentors about what you want to do. As someone who also took 2 gap years before I applied, there needs to be a hard set goal of what those years are going to be for. I did various things through those years, research, in-patient work, volunteer. These experiences weren’t always rainbow and sunshine everyday but I gave my all because I committed and found some sort of benefit in them. Feeling at peace that you dropped a huge commitment that was intended to get you closer to your end goal without a back up is honestly a huge red flag for an admissions committee, one that they’re gonna ask you about and will be incredibly difficult to talk your way out of. I am wishing you the best on your journey but please take a moment of self reflection and finding if this is really for you.

i might be projecting but i have noticed this in a few videos like for me i do feel a lot of relief after quitting things but its because avoidance can soothe my anxiety temporarily.. just something to think about. Committing to things is scary but can be worth it

Girl - if you’re in search of a career where there isn’t politics, people don’t suck, and the work doesn’t get monotonous…. You’re never going to find one.

Medicine requires years of consistent effort. You have to study every single day to keep up with the ridiculous amount of material they throw at you.

I took two gap years on my way to “med school” learned so much about myself and now I’m in my second year of PA school and have zero regrets. Trust God and trust the process it’ll all work out the way it’s supposed to
