@poppyinsuffolk: Every tree has a story to tell… and this is my children’s favourite tree 🌳 At one of our favourite @National Trust places, this tree has become part of their childhood. In every season, in every kind of weather, they’ve climbed its branches, made friends, eaten lunch at the top, watched bugs, played cars, swung for hours and even sat completely still while a little robin came close enough to watch them. The branches are polished from hundreds of little hands that have climbed before them. And I think that’s what I love most about childhood, the places that quietly become theirs. The trees they climb. The paths they know. The stories they make up. We absolutely love our National Trust family membership, especially exploring our local East of England favourites: 📍 Anglesey Abbey 📍 Ickworth 📍 Wicken Fen 📍 Wimpole Estate And with 500+ places to explore, there always seems to be somewhere new to discover. A family membership is £14.70 a month and for us, it’s become so much more than days out.
