They do a ton in the beginning. They fix things, put stuff together, help with mowing. When you get comfortable they start slacking off. Then they stop doing things all together. It’s easier just to do it yourself than to confront the man.

Yes he did everything outside. And i door maintenance and car maintenance. And since im not with him anymore after 30 years its very exhausting now i have to do it and get all the maintenance done myself.

OMGAWD! Housework, kids, cleaning, washing is EVERYDAY!!! Outside stuff, let's see... the cars don't need "maintenance EVERYDAY! The grass gets cut MAYBE ONCE A WEEK IF THAT! Thinks don't break often! At the beginning they helped, then it becomes nonexistent. We fell in love, and got saddled!

Well, most young women are in love and simply don’t see things clearly before marriage. I think women today usually choose the man they want to marry, which is very different from how I grew up. When I was young, our parents chose our husbands. When they told me, “You’re going to marry that man,” my reaction was, “Well, get it ready. I’ll be back next weekend!” 😂 I ended up spending 25 years with a man I never loved. But the funny thing is, I only saw him one day a week. In its own strange way, it was the perfect marriage!

Oh mine helped while dating. As soon as we were married? He expected me to take care of his 3 kids, while taking care of my own kids and our baby. I take care of the house, I run the farm, and take care of all the lawn care and my vehicle maintenance… while he was building his career. In the process of a divorce right now
