@aynsley_broom: Truly loved this episode of #tedlasso. Being able to see Phoebe join in as the next generation to help the team out. Seeing Boots on the pitch proudly wearing the uniform the girls made. Just seeing all generations circle around the Lady Greyhounds was amazing to see. But most especially it was great to see Mae out there. If you haven’t briefly looked up the history of women’s soccer, I encourage you to do so! It’s truly fascinating. This was a beautiful moment for Mae. And it’s a reminder of all the women who have paved the way for us to play sports. There’s still SO MUCH more to improve on but just watching today’s episode, you can’t help but be so grateful for the work that has been done so far. But we still have more work to do! And I can’t wait to see what else this season has in store for us! #appletv #womenssoccer
Mae, a HUGE Richmond Men’s fan, getting a season pass for Richmond’s Women made me cry. She comes from a generation who watched women’s football go from being banned to the Lionesses winning Euro in 2025

My heart literally broke open when we see Mae tear up watching the Lady Greyhounds. Because as we saw the first three seasons Mae’s love of the game is deep and true, in that moment we get to see dreams come true for the new generation of players built on the battles of those that came before them 😭

I made a video about loving this season and the hateful comments have been insane, I’m just happy to see girls playing sports and being recognized

I think that’s Mae’s story. I’m willing to bet she used to be amazing and wished to be a professional footballer but couldn’t because she was a girl.

Mae was so adorable in this episode! She wanted to be a soccer player in her prime but couldn’t because of laws. I love Mae!

Mae being the one who’s missed out on this hurts my heart. Even if it hasn’t been cannon yet😭 and Lizzie made me actually cry. I genuinely think some people forget it wasn’t until very recently that women’s football has gained real traction. I mean Leah Williamson (and a ton of others), were getting degrees in case this didn’t work out! They needed backup plans because they had been excluded from the World’s game.

I’ve open mouth sobbed at almost every episode. This season is an absolute love letter to women. As a diver girly myself, I’ve rarely felt so seen.
