My brother, please stop making everything about politics. Look at your life in the UAE: when you renew your resident card, the government doesn't slap a separate charge on the card itself. It’s transparent. But in Ghana, a card that was originally registered for free is now expected to be renewed by everyday citizens who are already suffering. You are abroad and earning daily, so it is easy for you to sit down and talk about 70 or 200 Ghana cedis. But have you thought about the voiceless? Back in the villages, what business can an old woman or an old man do in a day to make a profit of 200 cedis? It is simply not possible. People are struggling just to survive. Let's be real: my own brother, who is in his 50s, lost his Ghana card and couldn't afford the money to renew it. He had to ask me for help. If I wasn't abroad, how would he manage? And it’s not just the card—back home, you have to pay tips for everything just to get basic services like a police report or a passport. Meanwhile, with all the "ways and means" involved, people end up paying even more than the stated fee. Ghana is harder and more expensive right now than Dubai, and you know it. If things were so perfect back home or in your village, you wouldn't have left Ghana to come work in the UAE. So why act like everything is fine? You guys have platforms, you have a voice, and people look up to you. Instead of being hypocrites and attacking people on social media, use your voice to speak the truth for the ordinary people who are suffering back home. Think about the elderly and the poor who cannot afford these charges, and stop defending what is wrong.

You didn't speak to the renewal and replacements fees. Mostly at the District Offices the NO CARD syndrome pertains, so people are forced to go to the Regional Offices for the high fees.
