Pottery teacher here 👋 this isn’t glaze they are using that yes is not skin safe, this school underglaze which is kaolin and high fire pigments. No lead, cadmium etc. I would not advise to ingest it but being painted on her foot, pressed on the item and then washed away is perfectly fine to do a few times in an afternoon. They aren’t painting her in it and leaving it on to dry/soak into her skin. She won’t get contact dermatitis from this one exposure. Stop fear mongering a beautiful afternoon it’s perfectly fine to do this once.
