I absolutely adore both of my sons’ girlfriends. I only have one daughter, so it makes happy having them here, it’s like having two bonus daughters and my daughter gets two bonus sisters. They make sons happy. They will always be welcome in our home.

Everyone said it was “unhealthy” for me to wanna spend all my time w my hs bf, now here we are, 14 years later married w a kid! It’s only bad for them if they’re bad for each other, I knew my husband was the one the moment he said hello to me, no amount of talking or grounding from my parents changed that either. Hell I got so tired of being told me wanting to be w him is bad and toxic I said fuck it, graduated early and moved out at 17! 😅😂

That’s so sweet! They’re teenagers, so of course they’re going to want to spend time together. But even if they don’t stay together, it sounds like you’re building an honest, healthy relationship with her and letting her know she’ll always be welcomed. I think that’s the part people are missing.
