@guitar.gigs: Nirvana’s 1994 performance of “Drain You” is a great example of the band’s powerful live sound. The song originally appeared on their 1991 album, Nevermind, and became one of Nirvana’s most recognisable tracks. Kurt Cobain’s distorted guitar and raw vocals give the performance an intense energy, while Krist Novoselic’s bass and Dave Grohl’s drumming create a heavy and driving rhythm. The live version shows how Nirvana could make their studio songs sound louder and more aggressive on stage. “Drain You” was a regular part of Nirvana’s setlists and remained one of their most popular live songs. #nirvana #kurtcobain #grunge #music #guitar

This is my favorite performance of theirs. Kurt’s guitar broke at the end and Pat immediately had to step in and become the lead. So awesome.

How is pat in this video?

Isquios :

Jw_in Texas :

Pat Smear is shown as a member of Nirvana now, but he was a really late addition to the band, he was to play the riffs exactly as Kurt or as they were recorded and known...they had become so big, their sound needed consistency. He was like Kurt's shadow so the riffs that Kurt occasionally missed or forgot could be covered properly by Pat. Kurt died not long after his addition. He's awesome honestly
