jazz my nan would have to be full dresses up to go downtown for groceries in her finest....i go to iga in my uggs n trackies. she died this yr and I know she'd be turning in her grave over how I went to iga 2 streets away omg

I blame Covid. We stopped going out for meals. Uber Eats etc became the norm and now we just can’t be bothered going out and if we do, can’t be stuffed. I’m like you though and make an effort. Often I feel overdressed though lol.

Some of would love to get all jizzied up, but have no idea how to. Im 56 and have never had a full face of make up, I wouldn't know where to start. ive never worn heals and my sense of style is absolutely atrocious. please dont judge. Some if us just dont have a clue, and a new pair of jeans and a blouse is as fancy as we get.

Some of us don’t have someone to watch the kids to get ready, some of us don’t have enough money, some of us dont have the time or energy. For some of us leaving the house is a full effort. On the flip side someone might come and say a slick back is for the gym and hair out and curled is more appropriate for theatre.. because we’re all different. It sounds like a lovely time, I love the theatre too but found this to be pretty judgemental of the people who go to musicals… which you’re about to be in… which have been getting cancelled due to low sales. Doesn’t feel good I guess. I am excited that you’re back in the theatre, I hope your show gets the full run and I hope you had a lovely day with your mum ♥️

I went to pretty woman with my husband and I was absolutely disgusted. The people were in thongs and tracksuit pants and agree completely with you that there is etiquette when going to the theatre and that you must treat it as something special.

if I'm paying $180 for a ticket. I don't have the money to buy a whole new outfit aswell. what may look like someone's "dressed up" to someone else, may not look like they put in the effort. i learnt a long time ago to not judge others. we have no idea what sometimes "dressed up" looks like. have I gone to the theatre dressed up. yeah. have I gone in berks and shorts. cause that what I was wearing when I was already out and found out my mate was going on for a lead track that they had never done before. yeah. better then missing it cause I wasn't wearing the "correct" thing. for an event without an offical dress code. im not focused on what happens when inside the theatre. aka the lack of respect of talking and being on their phones.

Just coz its your thing dont put that on other people. My nannas 102 and wheres her runners everywhere because she has such f****d up feet from arthritis. Doesnt mean she isint a good person or lazy.

i think you're all WAY too bothered by what other people are wearing. dress up, don't dress up, do whatever you want, but don't have a hissy fit about other people dressing differently. you'll live.

I use to think like this. Until I worked with people who are emotionally exhausted. But you really at the end of the day don’t know what other people are going through. Some people are emotionally tired and could be going through the worst part of their life and still are making effort to get out of the house. This is really out of touch this video

Some of us can’t afford anymore then that, some don’t have the confidence, I personally can’t dress up I’m too embarrassed to draw attention to myself and just convincing myself to actually leave the house is a huge effort. Please just let us hide in the corner without judgement

I always dress every day. I am a retired teacher now, but still tutor 5 days a week. I am thoughtful about my dress, shoes, makeup, accessories. My mum always taught me to never leave the house without shoes and clean underwear 😂.
