He may not fit the criteria but can I enter Kyle Wright into the conversation.

How many more do you get if you Lowe their career from 6 to 5 years? How many years does a team keep a guy if he only has one good season? They may stick with them for 5 years but 6 years is pushing it.

Nice. If you pull Bill Mueller out of the bag at a party make sure to pronounce his last name like Miller

Where did Brady Anderson fall? That was the first name that came to mind for me. 50 HR in 96, never hit more than 24 in any other year. Maybe he was too decent for too long, but that was an anomaly.

I don’t think your metric is capturing true one season wonders. Players like Ellsbury, Mueller and Aurelia had solid careers. They may have had one great season in a longer career of being a solid player. These aren’t really one hit wonders.

I really like this idea, but I don’t think I would ever put Ellsbury, Headley, or Aurilia as one hit wonder kind of guys. These were solid players whose skill sets weren’t necessarily based off of power numbers. That said since you are using power stats as part of your criteria then that makes sense.

Ellsbury is an odd one because he definitely has a near MVP level peak but he was consistently good outside that season. I'm sure he fit the constraints of this exercise, but I don't think he's a one season wonder. he also got ROY award votes and he had a 5.8 WAR season after his near MVP campaign, was a very well-known face for many years. one hit wonder I think Ben Greive, Marty Cordova, maybe Gary Matthews Jr
