Back nine of my 2nd round in the Southern California Amateur Championship at @valenciacountryclub After a brutal first round, I’m sitting on the cut line at +10 for the tournament. Played a solid front nine (which was the back) and made the turn at even par for the round. But the front nine at Valencia is where the fun usually starts. I dunno why, but the wind swirls on the front like no course I’ve ever played And the holes are tight and greens unforgiving. It finally got me on my last iron shot on 9 Thought there was hurting wind and must have switched behind me Flushed that 6 iron over the green and then just made a mess of the hole from there. No excuses. I have to be better. But also gotta focus on the positives from the day. Im very happy with how I bounced back from the 1st round and played 17 1/2 great holes of golf.
