@thatrvtech: RV owners, Some of you may have heard me say before that rooftop air conditioners aren’t the only way we can cool an RV, and this is a perfect example. This particular unit is a Coleman-Mach ParkPAC. Instead of having a big A/C unit sitting on the roof, the system is mounted underneath the RV and uses ductwork to distribute the conditioned air throughout the coach. And it’s quiet. You don’t have a compressor sitting directly over your head, you don’t have to cut another giant hole in the roof, and you’re taking advantage of an area of the RV that’s otherwise often wasted space. This is the kind of stuff I want to see manufacturers experimenting with more. this isn’t even new. Coleman has been making versions of this ParkPAC system for decades. The older units were R-22 systems, and they’ve since evolved into the current refrigerant and model generations. I just personally haven’t run across many RV manufacturers using them. Think about how much unused space exists underneath, inside cabinets, behind walls and throughout an RV. We don’t necessarily have to keep doing things the same way we’ve done them for decades. The ParkPAC is just one example, but systems like this open up a ton of possibilities for quieter A/C systems, cleaner roofs and completely different ways of designing RV HVAC. There are other options besides putting another box on the roof. #rvtechnician #airconditioning #rvupgrades

we have the 2027 puma 403lft. that AC unit keeps the bedroom & bathroom so cool. I'm a little lost on the thermostat though. I've searched online for instructions for it and have had no luck 😔. it has an auto button and a dry button 🤷🏼♀️

I’d like to see the area where the AC sits better. I guess the first things that come to mind or is there sufficient airflow getting through there and is it sealed up well enough to keep our room debris.
