The tooth fairy once accidentally gave my kid $20 so I had to explain to him that you only get one $20 tooth in a lifetime and then had to give his 14 year old sister $20 in hush money. It was an expensive night.

Have the tooth fairy write a note explaining there was a mix up at the tooth fairy bank and a new clerk gave her $50 bills to give out - not $5. The bank has reprimanded the clerk (demoting him to cleaning all the new teeth that arrive). The bank has stated they would like those children who received $50 to use the funds towards cleaning/brushing their teeth (toothbrushes, toothpaste, water pick, dental floss, etc) but to spread the word it most likely won’t happen again as the bank is now putting double checks in place.

I don’t think you can make it worse than I did. My daughter said she was gonna stay up to see the fairy and I kept telling her no but she wouldn’t listen to any of my reasons. I finally panicked and said “Why do you think Grammy doesn’t have any teeth?! Do you want to end up like Grammy?!” (My mother has dentures💀). My daughter was horrified but finally was like wait maybe I don’t want to stay up to see the tooth fairy. She then asked what the tooth fairy does with the teeth and her brother, deadpan, says “probably eats them.” 💀 so the tooth fairy is an eldritch abomination in our house who knocks out all the teeth of kids who try to see her and then she eats them 🥴

A teacher once told me that she had to explain why different kids get different amounts to her class. Evidently, the tooth fairy has a set amount of money available on any given night and it is divided evenly between the kids who lost teeth that night. Therefore, how much you get is determined by how many other kids around the world lost teeth that night, and you may not get the same amount every time. I adopted this and it always gave me an out if I didn't have much cash in the house and my kid lost their teeth on the way to bed, in the middle of the night, or the tooth fairy forgot until the last minute.😁

After an error with our household tooth fairy. I suggested that the tooth fairy use golden dollar coins. She went to the bank and purchased $20 worth of golden dollar coins and kept them in her special tooth fairy bag to be prepared for the next fairy emergency.

We did that one year. thought it was a 10 and it was 100... what we did is We have the tooth fairy. write a note to our child apologizing saying that she made a terrible mistake and we all make mistakes and she needed that to give other kids money for their teeth and they would get something very special if they left the money under the pillow that night so she could exchange it for the correct amount and we gave them a little stuffed animal along with the $10 bill

I was told that the tooth fairy always leaves the house with 1 million dollars and it divides it evenly amongst all kiddos who lost teeth. If they were the only kid to lose a tooth then they could get all the money but if 1 million kids lost a tooth then only $1

We live in a small town and I never have cash the first three teeth my son lost was after any store closed and the atm only gave $20. The tooth fairy lost a lot of money with 4 kids. 😒
