The US healthcare system sucks especially for women. I went through it after giving birth and the biggest advice I can give everyone is ALWAYS ADVOCATE for yourself and learn what your blood work says. My doctor didnt tell me I was severely anemic until right before giving birth, I ended up hemorrhaging on the operating table and had to have a life saving blood transfusion done. They sent me home with a bottle of ibuprofen and my health has suffered ever since. We’re just numbers to them.

I’ve had multiple pneumothoraces and all the symptoms you had definitely align with one your lung could have sealed and left you with trapped air in your chest cavity the neck pain and shortness of breath are definitely huge symptoms I recommend you look into it more bc once you have one you are prone to more not meant to scare you purely educational I hope you feel better 💐

Ask the hospital if they have self pay discounts. A lot of places do have discounts for those paying without insurance. So it’s worth a try.

Health insurance is horrible and I don’t know why we have to pay for it if we don’t even use it. Yet when we do need to use it, it still cost so so so so much! I hate it.

Did they do an abdominal ultrasound? All those symptoms my sister had and it ended up being gallstones and she had to have emergency surgery

So I know they mentioned air in your lungs. But here’s a question for you. Do your legs hurt? Do your thighs hurt? Do your calfs hurt when you’re walking?? If you answered, yes to any of that, you need to go see a cardiovascular cause it could be the veins in your legs that are causing you to have shortness of breath. Asked me how I know?

Did any doctor have you swallow some liquid and see if that helped? They should have. It numbs your esophagus and stomach. This is how to check to see if you have gastritis/ acid reflux. It can cause all your symptoms. I have that.
