I cut all streaming services & we watch DVD’s. Most we get from thrifting or borrowing from the library. Listen to live radio, iPod or CD’s saved me well over $100 a month!

I grew up in the 80s and we didn’t have a lot of that stuff, so I figure we could live without it again

I won't buy ice cream at the store because it's not actually ice cream anymore. I go to some local places that sell actual ice cream.

Don’t forget to order for pick up, which is usually free! That way you don’t have to go in with the kids and be tempted to buy things you don’t need.

Even Walmart brands are getting expensive. A Great Value trail mix that I buy has gone from $8 to $10.50.

And while we cut out many food products to save a few bucks, the utility and insurance companies step in, raise our rates, and grab that money for themselves.

I'm laughing because when I hear someone say they are cutting soda, it makes me think of the berenstain bear book where the cubs were getting chunky, mama bear banned junk food and soda, and Papa asks what the heck are we supposed to drink? mama bear dead 🍑 takes him to the spigot and says, and I quote, "try this. it's called WATER." 😆😆😆💀💀💀 I told my family they better learn to like water because soda isn't going in my cart. tea, coffee, juice if it's on sale and not too high in sugar.

one thing I'm struggling to budget is animal food. it is ridiculous. we got 2 German shepherds had for over 10 years, a pitt mix had 1 year, 2 cats 5+years and a rabbit had 3 years. when we got them it was practical other than the pitt, we found her in the road. but now i just dont know how to keep them. I mean of course we're keeping them but how. then you see all these people talking about dont feed your dogs junk kibble and im like...is there another option without it being more than my car payment?
