@trial_trackers: Day 16 of the Lindsay Clancy trial brought one of the defense’s most important opinions yet. Forensic psychologist Dr. Paul Zeizel testified that, in his opinion, Clancy was suffering from bipolar disorder with postpartum psychosis when she killed her three children. He told jurors she had a mental disease or defect, was unable to conform her behavior to the law and “had no appreciation for the wrongfulness of her act.” Prosecutors challenged Zeizel’s credibility and objectivity, including his longtime relationship with defense attorney Kevin Reddington and statements he made publicly about Clancy before reviewing all of her records.
