Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” That should make us ask a hard question: Are the people closest to me actually sharpening me? If everyone around you thinks like you, agrees with you, excuses you, and never challenges you—you may be comfortable, but you may not be getting sharper. We all need people in our lives who love us enough to challenge our thinking, confront our blind spots, call us higher, and push us closer to Jesus. And it goes both ways. Don’t just look for iron.
