there's a former CIA agent who said this once, "you'll be able to understand mankind a little more if you understand that anyone is capable of anything at any time", and honestly that did help me understand people a lot better. because for so long, I had stayed confused thinking that decent people could not to heinous things and evil people good never do decent things. as an autistic person (and probably the extensive past traumas), this left me in confusion often and it made it INCREDIBLY difficult to know how and who to trust. so in this healing journey, I then came to the story of Judah, and you know, that Judah guy really blew me out of the water 😭😭 I had NO IDEA the horrible things he did to his dad, brother, and to his daughter in law 😭😭 I had always assumed (that's on me 😭) that since blessings came out of Judah, I figured he was a stand up guy like his brothers Joseph, I was so wrong. and that really helped me with not only decent people vs wicked people doing decent and evil things, but that God truly does bring everything for the good to those who love Him. and that even in our sins, when we repent and come to the LORD in a sincere heart, blessings follow 🥺

I think you've identified the root cause, and a major catalyst on top of it is the decline in our ability to distinguish between melodrama and reality. Conspiracy theories are a mix of reality and melodrama in a sense, like somewhere between reality TV and Weekly World News

The culture is unacquainted with female evil. Most of the time they don't even recognize it. It presents differently and at different times than with men. Not saying women are evil, just that when they are, we often can't process it.
