I worked with a man who had turned himself into the police because he thought he killed someone. Turned out he had schizophrenia and was in psychosis. He did not kill anyone.

I have another thought! For the period she wasn't awake in icu, how do we not know she wasn't hearing and absorbing what the people who were guarding her were talking about while in the room with her. Like she kept hearing over and over what she was told she did and woke up believing it. I say this because several years ago during the Charlie Sheen hype (when he was all over the tv and news) my dad was in a coma for 40 days. The TV was constantly on in his room. When he woke up, he kept talking about Charlie Sheen being after him. I'm not saying she's innocent or guilty, but it's a thought that keeps popping up in my mind when i hear about the phone call.

Where is everyone getting that she confessed? The only thing I can find is that her husband says she confessed to him. That’s not a legit confession.

I had psychosis. I had trouble knowing what was my fear and what was real. I absolutely believe she had it. If someone told me when I wasn’t ok I did something, I would have believed them.

dr Zeizel said delusion means a repeated voice you can’t get rid of! yet this doctor even confirmed Lindsay heard that male voice one time and never again.. that means it was not delusion. Lindsay did it and was never in psychosis, there’s no evidence she was only that she was in fact not.

She literally woke up from a coma already charged with the murders. Even without psychosis you’d have a hard time thinking you didn’t do it. She was handed an answer against her will on a silver platter.

She did not claim she was guilty. She plead not guilty. If she had plead guilty there wouldn't be the trial and instead it would be a sentencing hearing. She did in her civil case I'm sure on the advice of her attorney to preserve that claim. She had to file her civil complaint before the end of the trial due to the statute of limitations. The complaint can always be amended to remove that part of the claim but cant be added later.

She only “admitted” it to him from what I’ve seen…she woke up from being drugged and was TOLD she did it. So she’s probably been suffering with believing she did in a psychotic state.

he was the voice!!! she always mentioned she had thoughts whatever those might be and she was home many times alone .it was only that night she heard A VOICE !!!! and he was still at home during her lowest heartbeat 😳😳

She wouldn’t be able to sign any legal paperwork in the condition she was in but was able to admit to this and they took it as fact? That’s what I don’t understand.

I can personally speak to this actually. I have had false autobiographical memories with my psychosis. it wasnt a murder situation but it was a crime. if there had not been video evidence of the crime happening, I would still 100% believe i had done it. psychosis can be insane

Even as a victim of narcissistic abuse, I was unsure about myself. I was so convinced by that person that I had actually done something they did. It took me 18 years to find out the truth. Even without psychosis, a person can become convinced they did something they didn’t do.
