I call to the Morrigan. I offer her a small obsidian chalice of rain water every morning when I wake with a simple saying of "I am here and I am strong". Some evenings I say a prayer to her. she has helped me face so many personal battles.

So true. If you cultivate a strong enough relationship, you can ask your deity to appeal or refer you to another. Achilles famously preyed to his mother (a water nymph) to appeal to Zeus on his behalf. One time when I was pretty sick I appealed to Apollo who I honor through art, and I had a strong feeling he was referring me to his son, Asklepios, god of doctors for treatment.

I dont subscribe to a deity choosing you either. I see it more like your own spirits guiding you to energies that will be beneficial to an upcoming situation. I also agree with ones own alignment aiding in stumbling upon deity.

I have been working with and feeling Kali ( Hindu goddess) since the beginning of my journey. Even when I took time away from things,she was there. So I am curious is it strange, weird ( not sure the word for it) for a white woman (me) working with a Hindu goddess?
