@tryingnottoforget: Replying to @SusieC I’m going to be starting kisunla infusions soon…the new anti amyloid therapy #earlyonsetalzheimers #alzheimers #alzheimerscaregiver #alzheimers #dementia
Does early onset typically decline faster or slow than an elderly person with dementia?

Oh, I’m so excited for you! I’m on my 7th Kisunla infusion, and all my plaque has been removed. I’m so excited that now I feel like I have a baseline to work from. I’m so happy for you🤩

My mom who has early onset Alzheimer's just traveled out of province for my sister's wedding. She regressed temporarily because she was not in her normal atmosphere and didn't have her normal routine. A couple days after returning home she improved back to her regular baseline.

my MIL went through this as well when we moved. Part of it was the ove but I just had a feeling something might be off so I asked her to go to the clinic with me just to be sure. Sure enough she had a uti, if you ever feel even a little off go get checked out real quick. That tiny stuff will have you feeling like youre rapidly declining.

I work in memory care facilities there is almost always a decline in the first few weeks but they always seem to recover and find their footing and that is with very advanced patients. I have faith that once you’ve been in your new place awhile you’ll feel much better. 💕

My dear grandpa recently finished his infusions and it very much helped slow the progression down! It can be scary experience with the risk of brain swelling ( he had this, skipped a few infusions, and then after it went down he started again and everything went well) but is very much worth it. He keeps an incredibly healthy mindset around it all and I think that makes all the difference. I am glad you have the support you deserve and need in such a significant experience in your life! Please stay hopeful :)
