Theres two different types of jajiangmyeon,theres a Korean version which is a sweeter version then the more traditional version of the Chinese which is saltier and not super sweet. Jajiangmyeon is Korean and jajiangmien is Chinese. Usually Chinese versions use a less chewy version of noodle rather then the ones you see in the video that Koreans use. Chinese jajiangmien is also more garlicky and savoury with a more umami and ‘earthy’ taste. And the Korean version is sweeter and less ‘earthy’. I guess you could say the Korean version is based off of the Chinese version. Which let’s be honest most Korean food took inspiration from other cultures but itd not just them. Since Korea is a rather newer country so..
