whiteface and blackface aren’t historically equivalent 😭 blackface has a long history of white people using makeup to mock and dehumanize Black people through racist stereotypes, while White Chicks is Black actors portraying exaggerated white characters in a comedy. you can dislike the movie or think some jokes are offensive, but saying it’s the exact same thing as blackface ignores the historical context behind it.
