These are lifestyle photos which are so sweet… it’s also ok to want traditional photos where everyone is in matching clothes and hitting a pose. My parents have the coolest looking photos from the 60s when they were kids. My grandparents dressed them to the 9sssss and it’s such a time capsule that I LOVE to look at

as a photographer I couldn’t agree more, I actually get scared when families show up perfectly dressed and wet combed hair and are getting yelled at by their moms to cooperate. Just be yourself and let the kids be crazy thats how I get the best pictures!!

soooo completely agreeeeee. 👏🏼 also most people are doing their kids hair for pictures because they do their kids hair fancy and all done up literally everyday no matter what😂 so that’s also just their normal.

I always thought if I had a girl I would be so stoked to do cute hair everyday, and now I have a 3 year old girl and I do it maybe once a week besides brushing it if it’s down. Haha and it’s so her when it’s kind of a mess

completely agree with you!!! my daughter never refuses to let me do her hair, but at my wedding, she wouldn't let anyone touch her hair which was completely fine! our photos still turned out absolutely gorgeous and they’re my favourite photos ever
