"just get the cheaper one" THAT'S NOT THE POINT. I went into a shop to get new razors. The ones targeted to women was two pound more expensive than the men's. Doesn't seem like a lot but in the long run it is. It's the same with period products like pads and tampons they cost so much which is why some women have to decide between groceries or hygiene products.
