Okay I’m in a bit of a confusing situation. I went on a couple of fun dates with this guy and it felt good, and he also told me it felt good for him. Whilst getting to know him, I came across your page. I feel like I learnt a lot in a short amount of time, but now I’m stuck. I took emotional risks, but still felt like he was slowly stepping away. And the feeling was correct: a couple days without contact later and he told me he has other priorities right now (new house, new job, and just busy) and that it was better for both of us to be stepping away from this for a little bit. I get it, he has a lot on his plate right now, so I said I understand and that when it feels like he has more time to invest in this he can reach out and we will see if there is an opportunity to get a drink sometime. He told me he would love that and will do this for sure. I’m now at this point that I keep thinking about it, trying to go on dates with other guys but just can’t do it right now. I don’t know if I did the right thing. I’m not trying to hold on to something that’s not there, but I still feel like there is a chance for us to work. Do I wait for him, do I reach out or do I just quit and move on? I really don’t know at this point so I hope you have some wisdom for me!

This is when you realize who your friends are. Ive made a similar mistake being too agreeable and not honest enough about my friends shortcomings. But i had another friend who started doubting and sh talking my new boyfriend that she didn’t even know. Planting stuff in my head about how she couldn’t believe his story or about how can i be in love already. Shes in a toxic relationship and she cant stand my happiness :( hasn’t asked me how its going in like a month after she realized im secure and happy. Really sad actually
