Where is this? In the US when you have a baby. They stay in the room with you from birth until you leave. Also where do they stay if they are not in your room?

I got to do this in 2023 when my daughter was born in Germany. The last 4 days of her NICU stay were in a mother-baby room attached to NICU. It was wonderful.

Oh wow, didn’t know this was a thing, my baby had her own room in the nicu that I’d sleep in, the couch turned into a bed, I thought all nicus where like that
