Suicide is not selfish. I lost my mom and best friend to suicide. They never meant to hurt anybody, they were hurting. Unfortunately, they both thought they would bring peace by not being here anymore.

No Ma'am it's also continously being abused and being stuck in poverty and having no support system. So many people are overlooked which is the part your missing. Also due to budget cuts all states have no resources to help victims of abuse.

The person was fighting everyday. They thought of you everyday helped them stay for awhile. But they have become broken inside and in so much pain that no medicine or happy thoughts can alleviate it. Broken from a battle of the mind that never gets a day off or even a second to breathe.

I still think there is a fundamental lack in (you) acknowledging that suicidal ideation and/or suicidality can be a byproduct of an incredibly dysfunctional society and one’s participation within it. It’s not enough to say that suicidal people are ill/not of healthy mind and to stop there is to diminish the very valid suffering of those who would’ve never chosen to witness this world as it is if they had a say.
