While you’re right, you have to think about it like this. Chandler is in his 50s as Hal, I don’t think the guy is gonna play Hal for 10 years so he can eventually become parallax and die, maybe who knows. And clearly they aren’t setting up that parallax story itself whatsoever. They’re taking story ideas and concepts from all the greatest GL runs and making it into its own thing. That’s why I keep saying everywhere else it’s an ADAPTATION not a TRANSLATION. I love Lanterns and what they’re doing, it’s original and interesting!

In the year 2026 we’re still having these conversations about why these shows don’t adapt the stories we want when we already know that they are not trying to be genuine adaptations. The people upset about Hal’s “death” are very much in the minority. Most people are curious to know who or what killed him. These are not adaptions. They are their own stories INSPIRED by certain comic runs. You’re never going to get a retelling of a comic in a show or movie

I’m a huge comic an Hal Jordan fan, but you’ve really gotta let this go at this point. We’re all mature adults and we were all surprised a year ago when Kyle Chandler was cast as Hal, but in that time any logical person should be able to put together and accept that he’s not gonna be the main GL. Idk why you’re so passionately upset about something we’ve all known for a while now

My guess is that this show is going to use non linear story telling. We're going to get a lot of jumps between 2016 and 2026. The show is going to use dramatic irony surrounding Hals death to potentially make well working bittersweet moments at the end of this or next season. There is no way in hell that's all of the Hal Jordan scenes, he is going to have hours more content and he will be more fleshed out. Its just my guess though
