@wfsbnews: Police in Pomfret and Wolcott are warning residents after recent string of vehicle break-ins in both towns. The town of Pomfret said thieves have targeted unlocked cars and trucks left in driveways overnight, taking cash and small valuables. Wolcott police are also looking for whoever stole a car and then broke into several other vehicles overnight. Cars were broken into Tuesday morning on Hickory Lane in Wolcott, including a Jeep Grand Cherokee that had its back window smashed. Police said similar break-ins have been happening in the neighborhood throughout the summer.
