She was born 100 miles away. The fact she came to the nest within hours of Jackie leaving us is a blessing. God says He takes care of the birds. Where they shelter and eat. He loves us enough to send us hope, In the form of a bird, When our hearts were grieving. Go Katie girl!

Kaydee seems so gentle & when she looks around I feel she’s a bit intimidated but Shadow makes her feel safe. Jackie is so beloved we will grieve her but Shadow deserves to have a healthy & fulfilling life. It’s sweet to watch Shadow be guarded at first but then allow himself to welcome Kaydee. It’s beautiful but it doesn’t mean we won’t forever love our Jackie
