People are being willfully ignorant. More often than not, mothers are the primary care givers, banning children from public spaces is essentially keeping these women away from them as well and this would rarely apply to fathers

Not every space needs to have children in it, and I say that as a mother and a nursery teacher. People need to be able to exist as adults without worrying some parent is judging them or (and yes it does happen) have a go at them because "children are present"

What you guys don’t understand is that for centuries kids have always been associated with women and by banning them from public spaces, you will also ban the women that has to take care of them!! Because sadly by banning kids you also ban motherhood as a whole (especially since women are primary caretakers even if they shouldn’t always be) so YES the idea is deeply rooted in misogyny and it’s worse since most people don’t even recognize that.

here's the deal for yall in the comments. a brewery, bar, restaurant, ect is NOT a public space. they are private businesses. if a private business wants to serve kids, then they can. if it has a kids menu, you should assume that kids are welcome there. if you go someplace where kids are welcome and you dont like it, maybe find a different place?
