Since you’re 3D printing, you can use depth to your advantage with bridges. I’ve made stencils with islands by simply raising up some points around the edges by like a cm and then putting small .8mm bridges in, just a couple layers thick. Since they’re raised up off of the surface, spray paint gets around the bridges for a clean look.
