As a 27 yr old Mexican genderqueer person raised Mormon in the 2000s and 2010s I understand this so much so many people in our community don't remember la gente was all we had so we needed tv for me it was glee and Ugly Betty along with Lady Gaga So I get this and appreciate this because I was raised at the tale end of the mass hatred and closed world but it was tv and music, books which saved me when there wasn't people like me in the Rio grande valley
