I use the color coding system but LOVE the scaffolding you do to show them how/why it’s important!!!!

What grade do you teach? I love this story, but when I teach it to 11th graders, they have such a hard time understanding what’s going on. The whole relationship between Rodrick and Madeline just goes right over their heads.
