China looks at Taiwan through a historical lens, but Taiwanese nationalism has evolved... they’ve survived independently for decades and don't want to be part of the mainland. As a Malaysian, I respect their right to self-determination. PMX’s view reflects old history, but current reality is different so it's natural if his statement would offended Taiwanese or being misunderstood as political views and interpretation can be brutal. You can’t compare this to Malaysia’s situation. Claims like the Philippines over Sabah or wanting to be separated from Malaysia after under the federation for years aren't the will of the majority rakyat... they're political theater or treasonous threats. Defending our sovereignty with force is justified because we’re resisting external manipulation, whereas Taiwan is defending the actual consensus of its citizens.

I have no idea what the world would look like if the USA had never become the world’s main superpower. How terrible would Earth be in 2026? 😳 Maybe we would still have an aggressive Japanese Empire, a powerful China, nuclear North Korea, an aggressive Iraq-Kuwait/Iraq-Iran war and Libya, wars between Iran and the Arab Gulf, the Russia–Ukraine war, no NATO, major wars in Europe, and maybe even wars in ASEAN. Taiwan has always been part of China . All this mess was started because of Japanese invasion , so many years passed, this mess just doesn't resolve by itself, but get stirred by the so called free world .... makes me wonder do they even care ??

One province of Malaya maybe what PM meant not Malaysia. Do bear mind that alaysia was officially formed on September 16, 1963, through an agreement that united the Federation of Malaya, Singapore, North Borneo (renamed Sabah), and Sarawak into a single federation. Brunei chose not to join, and Singapore later left the federation in 1965. So except Sabah Sarawak !
