@that_lawyer_says: I’ve never seen an attorney do this. Experts are supposed to be “independent,” meaning they don’t have a personal interest in the case and they are simply applying their training and experience to explain a difficult concept to the jury. The prosecution tried to attack Lindsay Clancy’s expert as personally invested in the case. They said that he met with her a lot, he advocated for her, and he did a press conference for her. They want the jury to think that he’s coming to his key opinions for the defense because he likes Lindsay Clancy personally and not because of his independent opinion as a physician. Reddington didn’t run away from the facts — he seized the facts and flipped the prosecution’s attack back at them. #trial #greenscreen #greenscreenvideo

He’s humanizing her. It was brilliant. He’s not thinking like a lawyer he’s thinking like a human. Sometimes we forget how to do that.

the sad part is that he was only available to her after this tragedy occurred. what if we actually had providers available to those in need proactively before the worst occurs rather than after

He is such a good freakin expert. How he answers the questions by turning to the jury to look at them as he speaks as if he’s having a personal conversation with them. Masterful.

As an RN who has been in healthcare >30 years, I commend you for this post. Healthcare is in the toilet and 3 babies have lost their lives because professional caregivers did not CARE for Lindsay. Our society needs more people like Reddington and this doctor.

Sad that acting in a patient’s best interest and advocating for them is seen as suspicious instead of the bare minimum for doctors

This trial has exposed so many healthcare providers who are just punching a clock and who have decided for some reason not to go the extra mile and actually do the right thing and help this poor woman.

I find it really fascinating how the prosecution doesn’t understand how bad those snarky remarks like “can I sit down please” look like to the jury members. You can really tell how Reddington has gotten under their skin.

He cared for her the way the other psychiatrists CLEARLY did not. They did not even read their notes for the trial and had the audacity to get upset when their own careless notes were questioned. Imagine if they had cared the way this doctor did. None of this would’ve happened.
