it's a temporary feeling for me, because the real reason why am i taking gap year is because i'm not mentally ready for college year. i believe that everyone have their own reason, but trust me it'll be worth it.

I’m class of 25’ and I went to take a “gap year” because I didn’t know what I wanted to do. It’s been a year since, and I still don’t know what I want to do. I’m so lost in life, but I know so many people who didn’t take a gap year that ended up dropping out within the first semester because they also weren’t sure, and now they’re in debt. I fully believe that you shouldn’t go to college unless you’re 100% committed to what you’re majoring in. College isn’t the only way to success, spend your gap year working, and thinking about what you want to do in life. You may regret not going now, but there’s a reason you wanted to take that gap year. You have time. Sometimes a gap year is what some people need. : )

Hey friend I took a gap year too and I start college next week! I get the feeling, almost all my friends went to big universities straight out of hs and a year later I’m going to a cc. My best advice is just focus on your path girl! Don’t compare yourself to others, we don’t truly know what everyone else has got going on. When you get that degree none of it will matter. 🙏💖

i feel like a gap year is so much needed…there’s not reason to rush and go into college for something you aren’t actually sure you wanna do for a while and i also think a lot of people go because they’re scared or pressured which is understandable, but a year to just figure out where you stand and what you want to do is 100% okay. i do feel a tiny bit of fomo but im really happy i took a gap year for myself

i took a gap year, buying myself a car soon, i had enough time to mentally stabilize myself and decide on a major i am passionate about, it’s not grade school, college is important and taking your time is better than wasting money on classes that won’t matter/you might fail

i have no college friends, no college life..mind u im still not on campus until next semester..😭😭 im stuck in a boring city with nothing to do, my friends moved away to college. my parents are lowkey driving me crazy. idk why people insist others to take gap a gap year/semester because it’s not fun AT ALL. i missed my entire freshman experience because i took a gap semester and did my first half online.
