My take: IF you can..buy property cash at Tax sales. Pick properties big enough to where you could always have space to rent out to someone if you ever needed the extra income. That could be Rv/ Camper space or tiny home space. 🤷🏻♀️. I’d choose tax sales over mortgage time and time again.

Own a duplex live on one side rent free Airbnb the other side, which pays for the mortgage and cash flows tax deductions cancel out maintenance and sitting on 250 K in appreciation because I’m not paying rent I can choose to pay off the house sooner and I will, and then at that point I either have 5K a month in revenue and I’m living for free or I can move out and go into another duplex and have 10 K month and be retired so I see what you’re saying but I am trying to pay off the house as soon as possible because then my expenses are so ridiculously low like $2500 a month. You cannot retire early in the stock market. You can’t get free rent. You still gotta pay for a roof over your head. Somehow you’re gonna be homeless at that point if you’re not paying any of your bills, they can come after your Account if they sue.
