i agree that a person must be secure about themselves but not texting u or not texting back for 2 weeks DOES mean they're not interested and that u should not engage with them again, it only takes a minute to text, if they were truly interested in u they would invest time

Texting frequency or length shouldn’t even be measure of interest. Some people do not require or want to fill the unspoken expectation of constant communication. Some people actually measure connection by the in person interaction/experience and even that doesn’t have to have a certain amount of time or frequency to exist. Idk. Tired of meeting people that decide because they like you, you now have to fulfill their unhealed attachment issues, or insecurities that you didn’t cause, or make them your #1 priority above everything else.

I can understand that, but in Arab countries, dating isn't very common, and most relationships happen through apps. I suppose the perspective might differ slightly based on that, right?

Been listening to you, and just been patient. Haven’t cared the much about messaging me everyday. Last night he called me, says “thank you for being patient, I feel bad I never give you my attention,” 😭 I told him “it’s okay, I know you work,” and then told me my daily “hope your day is going good,” messages, he likes them cause it gives him something to look at 😭😭😭 made me feel so much better.

Recently get closer to a man, started being more vulnerable and explain to me how is was afraid to be abandoned again by someone, how he first start to having feelings for someone he immediately thinks it won’t work. And now, no more answers to my message when friends have answers (1-3 days later most time) but me, nothing. I just started thinking maybe I do something wrong, understood I catch feelings for him. I’m just here thinking what is happening so I asked him and still no answer.

I’ve been sort of seeing a guy since June, and while we were both super busy with prior commitments in July we didn’t talk for 2 weeks but instead of freaking out ( I was busy too, after all) I just decided to text him asking how his trip was going and guess what? He responded right away and now that we’re both finally back from holidays were planning to see each other in the next week :) not being stressed about him texting was fab for me over my own vacation and it really did mean nothing in the end, we’re just both adults getting to know each other!

can I ask you something? i was seeing a man for 2 weeks, really intense 2 weeks, we see each other like 5 times or more. we sleep together a couple times, then I decided to stop sleeping with him because I was scared to get to attached to him. we spoke, he looked understand it but now his communication slowdown and he didn't propose another date yet. still using emoticon like 🤗😊😚 but not dates.
