@billdambrosio: What's Happening With The Ex-Walmart Building? The former Walmart building in downtown White Plains could be getting a pretty big makeover. The White Plains Common Council has unanimously approved a zoning change that now allows self-storage facilities in the downtown CB-3 zoning district. And the owner of the former Walmart building at 275 Main Street wants to convert about 90,000 square feet of the lower level into self-storage. But that’s not all that’s being considered for the building. Redevelopment concept plans have also included fitness, pickleball and trampoline park uses. There are also plans to replace the Main Street facade and create a new drop-off area in front of the building. But the redevelopment isn’t fully approved yet. A public hearing on the proposed health club and self-storage facility is scheduled for September 8. So, what would you like to see go into the former Walmart building in downtown White Plains?
