@laynamusic: August 19th, 2026 Today, Azzi Fudd took to Instagram to clear the air. The air we have all been choking on as Dallas lost 4 of their last 5 games. Fudd (35) addressed the rumor, saying she will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on her right knee and will be out the rest of the season. This procedure is used to diagnose and treat joint issues. They will insert a small, thin camera to see the inside of her joint and repair damaged tissue as needed. This isn’t Fudd’s first time through the recovery process, and even mentioned in her post that she “knows exactly what comes next.” Azzi is finishing the season averaging 13.1 PTS, 39.7 3PT%, 45.6 FG%, and 82.6 FT%. She managed to grab 1.7 boards, pass 1.8 assists, steal 1.7, block 0.8, and be the first rookie to win the All-Star Weekend 3-point competition. But I always say numbers show a quarter of the story. The other 75% is what they do and who they are on the court. Azzi Fudd has a flawless game. Her shot is perfect, and on defense she's gritty. Low, arms out, and her hand as close to the ball as it can legally be, she is truly a gem to watch. It will be a little bit until we can witness her greatness again. I’ve not seen any word on what that means for her off-season commitments, but the only thing that matters now is her road to recovery.
