24hrs as a new doctor!!🤸🏽‍♀️🩺 come with me for another crazy 24hr shift as a senior pediatric #residentdoctor !!🩺🌙 except this time, when i’m not running around the hospital, i’m getting ready to launch a BOARD GAME?!👀🎲 @Health Hero Games ✨🎗️ the #oncall shift starts like most do: sign out, rounds, consults & orders, and then settling in for whatever the next 24hrs decide to throw at us😂👏🏽 but this season of #residency has been a little different because somehow in all the tiny pockets of time outside of work, i’ve also been building Cancer Crusher, a board game for kids going through cancer treatment🥹🎲 and the wildest part is that these two parts of my life really aren’t as separate as they seem. when i was 9, i spent almost a year going through #cancer treatment, playing games to pass the time and trying to make sense of everything happening around me. now 20 years later, i get to be the doctor AND build the game i wish i could’ve played in my hospital room back then🥹💕 so this work is for her and all of the kids still facing illness today. it’s a little crazy😅 but spending my days caring for kids and building something for them feels pretty special.
